On April 9, 2026 iea staff, Myles Calvert and Brig Bogue traveled to the city for NYC Print Week 2026. They attended the IFPDA at the Armory on Thursday, April 9 and the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair at Powerhouse Arts Friday, April 10. They also visited iea alum Nancy Blum’s studio for future project planning.

Established in 1987, the IFPDA is recognized as the world’s preeminent international organization for fine art prints with 150 members vetted for the highest level of quality, value, and professionalism. Through its network, online presence, and public programs, the IFPDA fosters knowledge and stimulates discussion about collecting prints in the public sphere and the global art community. The IFPDA Fine Art Print Fair, held annually in New York City, is the largest and most celebrated art fair dedicated to the artistic medium of printmaking. The annual IFPDA Book Award honors scholarly excellence and original research. The IFPDA also advances research, education, and dialogue for a new generation through its charitable Foundation.

Powerhouse Arts (PHA) is housed in a purpose-built facility in Gowanus, Brooklyn, on Lenape land. It hosts an extended network of art and fabrication professionals and educators who work together to co-create and share artistic practices vital to the well being of artists and their communities. PHA hosts the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair, the borough’s first and only fair dedicated exclusively to fine art printmaking continues its mission to champion the medium while expanding access for artists, educators, and collectors alike to engage with a dedicated community of printmakers, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts.
