ieaArchive
The iea was established in 1997 with the focus of developing electronic imaging studios to support cross-disciplinary work and to sponsor interactive artist residencies. The iea currently develops projects to support electronic and print studios and international communications.
The ieaArchive is being digitized, organized, and made searchable online—an ongoing long-term project. The iea studios and archive is supported by the Dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts (SoAD), NYSCC, and Alfred University. We aim to amplify artists’ voices, democratize access to experimental media, and foster dynamic exchanges between local and international audiences, enhancing opportunities for all. With over 300 visiting artists and special guests passing through our doors throughout the years, leaving samples and finished documentation, the archive is an extensive resource for the community and future programming.
