David B. Smith received his MFA from Bard College and lives in Brooklyn, NY. He has been awarded residencies by Apex Art, NZ; Socrates Sculpture Park, Millay Colony, Textile Arts Center, NY; Franconia Sculpture Park, MN; and Marble House Project, VT. He has exhibited at MoMA PS1, Museum Rijswijk, Johannes Vogt, with solo shows at Halsey McKay, Geary, Spring/Break Art Show, LMAK and Millersville University. His work has been discussed in the New York Times, The Observer, Textile Plus, Art F City, The Washington Post and has been collected by Yale University, Peggy Cooper Cafritz, and Beth Rudin DeWoody.
