For his residency week, September 23-27, 2019 Robert B. Lisek brought with him some of his own equipment, including a PAL video mixer and other custom electronics. Robert spent time in the Expanded Media Analog Studio, with its Alfred custom and rare video image-processors. Lisek ran generative AI content through this system and explored the programmatic potential in these older more open design architectures, especially the Alfred Sandin IP. Robert generously held a seminar on AI and his artwork more broadly for Expanded Media Faculty and students. This event activated those who attended, with possibilities of decision / game AI approaches and their accessibility for artists, as opposed to big data AI. Robert again reached out to the Alfred Community with a Friday night Multi-media Performance, SUPRASYMMETRY, Robert B. Lisek with Mykola Haleta in the Harder Hall lobby. Robert was joined by EIA MFA ’17 alumnus, Mykola Haleta who opened the memorable evening performance.
