Self-made and collectivist to the core, LITA defies simple categorization. Born Karla Vinueza (she/they) in Queens, NY, the Ecuadorian-American DJ, musician, producer, and video artist transcends the boundaries of genre and mediums while working through themes of subculture, representation, community and identity. Experimenting through mediums of film, sound design, video analog and synthesizers, LITA creates worlds where music and abstract video art go together.

During their time with the iea, Lita worked with Touch Designer to process her own her sound into audio reactive imagery.
