About President Zupan

Mark Zupan was selected as the 14th President of Alfred University on February 11, 2016 and took office on July 1. His formal inauguration was held October 22, 2016.

Prior to that, he was Dean of the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School for ten years, after which he served for two years as the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics and Public Policy and Director of the Bradley Policy Research Center at the Simon School. He had previously served as the Dean of the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management for seven years.

President Zupan has a BA degree in economics from Harvard University and a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
