Fiat Lux and Love

Dear Alfred University students, staff, and faculty:

As we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., today let us remember his powerful insight and its consistency with our University’s motto and value of inclusivity: “darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” Let us remember his words today and commit to put them into practice.
