Fiat Keeping our Guard Up
This note is to inform you that we have not had a positive COVID-19 test result on campus since February 23rd, either through surveillance testing or walk-in testing at our Wellness Center. As a result, our positivity rate on campus, at 4.5 percent on February 15th, has dropped significantly to 0.33 percent.
This marked improvement is due to your diligence in following safety protocols. Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do to Protect the Lux.
As we approach the midpoint of our semester, please join me in wishing our students well for their midterm exams and assignments.
So that we can finish the semester in person, let’s all remain steadfast in our efforts to promote a safe and healthy campus and continue to follow the relevant safety guidelines including:
- social distancing;
- wearing a mask (over the nose and under the chin) in buildings—with the exception of your room and when you are eating in a dining hall;
- wearing a mask outdoors when you cannot socially distance;
- practicing sound personal hygiene; and
- completing your daily health screening
