It helps us predict when to observe certain objects.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you install the compuer app and not the web version, you can download our horizon as a zip file.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You can downoad <a href=\"https:\/\/people.alfred.edu\/~observatory\/Rosing_Panorama.zip\">the horizon here.<\/a> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the &#8220;sky and viewing options&#8221; the 3rd icon down from the top on the left toolbar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the pop up, go to the &#8220;Landscape&#8221; tap.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the bottom will be &#8220;Add\/remove lanscapes&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click &#8220;Install a new lansdcape from a ZIP archive&#8230;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your zip file (do not unzip).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Done<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want to save it as the default horizion go back to the left hover menu and click on the configuration (5th icon from top).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slick &#8220;Save view&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Done<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A free way to simulate the night sky is Stellarium.
