Dr. Kun Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). He used to work as a postdoctoral research associate at the Nuclear Materials Science and Technology group of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). And he is currently working as an Assistant-Professor in Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University. His research focuses on the structural materials for extreme environments.
He specializes in the development of advanced structural materials, the effects of neutron and ion irradiation on the microstructure and mechanical properties of metals, and multi-scale electron microscopy. In particular, he is currently interested in the refractory high entropy alloys used for harsh environments, as well as the additive manufacturing of refractory structural materials.
