[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Born and raised in New York City, Henry<\/span> Chung<\/span> studied engineering at Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and photography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 1992 Henry<\/span> established his first photography studio in Brooklyn which he has maintained at various locations since. In the years during and after his education Henry<\/span> worked as a typesetter, computer programmer, web developer and software engineer. Drawing from these experiences, Henry<\/span> often incorporates technology, new or old, in his work,\u00a0like modifying and repurposing old cameras, designing embedded devices or programming outdated computer equipment. In combining found photographs with technology, Henry<\/span>\u00a0explores notions of nostalgia, history, identity and anonymity, with a focus on memory and its imperfect and elusive qualities. Henry<\/span> lives in Brooklyn, NY and maintains his studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
