Lee<\/a> of Potsdam, NY, as our artist in residence over the week of November 16th, 2015. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Alex received a BFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in Photography in 2005 and an MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in Art &amp; Technology in 2009. He is currently assistant professor in the Digital Arts &amp; Sciences Department at Clarkson University, a small science and engineering university located north of the Adirondack Mountains, and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally in spaces such as Eyebeam: Center for Art &amp; Technology, New York, NY; Gallery DOS, Seoul, Korea; Museum of Contemporary Art, Montreal, QC, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Alex&#8217;s time focused primarily on two projects, <em>Soliloquy for Sagan<\/em> and <em>Fractals, Particles, Photons, Microwaves<\/em>. For <em>Soliloquy for Sagan<\/em> Alex utilized the iea&#8217;s Doupfer modules and surround sound editing software to compose and process the audio component to the animation created using Maya. A stereo sound version of this piece was screened in the Smart Wall Space Gallery over the week when it was finished. For <em>Fractals, Particles, Photons, Microwaves<\/em> Alex processed his video through the Dave Jones MVIP and mixed these edited clips into the final composition of the video.<\/p>\n<p>Below are images of Alex at work and stills of his videos:[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=&#8221;0&#8243;
