I hope you are finishing your semester strong! Please read the following email carefully and reference it as needed. Below you will find valuable information about the closing of the residence halls at the close of the spring semester and items that need to be taken care of before you leave campus. You will be held responsible for all information contained in this email, without exception.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who are not participating in Commencement exercises:<\/strong>\u202f<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Late Stay Request:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u202fStudents<\/strong>\u202fParticipating in Commencement on Saturday, May 17th<\/sup>:<\/strong>\u202f<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Shuttles: <\/em><\/strong>The University has a pre-determined airport shuttle schedule based on finals. The shuttles will run to Rochester airport. The date and time of the shuttles are below and are not subject to change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To register for the shuttle please go to the following link, HERE<\/a>. Please only register for the one shuttle you will be taking. You must submit your shuttle form by 04\/30\/25 at 11:59pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Students staying for summer:<\/strong>\u202f<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Closing Procedures<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Monday May 5th through Friday May 9th from 8:30am-8pm <\/p>\n\n\n\n Saturday May 10th<\/sup>, Sunday May 11th<\/sup> from 12pm-4pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are unable to return your key within this time frame you may slip your completed check out envelope, with your key sealed in the envelope, under the Residential Communities door. Check out envelopes will be available in the unlocked entrance to the Residential Communities office. Once the envelope has been completed, please take the yellow slip for your records and proof of return. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you give a key to a friend to return, and they don\u2019t, you as the owner will still be held responsible and billed for the key not being returned.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n Failure to return your key will result in you being charged for its replacement and the lock change. Leaving your key in your room to be searched for and collected by a staff member will be considered an improper check-out and will result in a fine of up to $50.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n \ufeff<\/strong>Graduating students: Return your room key and Door FOB to our office\/ staff prior to your departure. We will have a table at commencement to make your checkout experience easier, additionally the office will be open until 6 P.M. that day <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you choose not to do these items, you may be charged.<\/strong>\u202f<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Common Charges to Avoid<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Residential Communities staff along with Physical Plant staff will enter spaces to ensure students have left campus, removed all items from their housing unit, as well as assess for damages, cleaning and furniture replacement.\u202fStudents should remove all belongings, as well as check out and return key(s) at the Office of Residential Communities to charges:\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n For a list of other possible charges please visit <\/em>https:\/\/my.alfred.edu\/student-policies\/index.cfm<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Other<\/em>\u202fcharges will be<\/em>\u202fassessed, as<\/em>\u202fappropriate.
