Campus Closing Information
The residence halls will close during October mini-break, Thanksgiving holiday break, and winter break this semester. Students must depart campus during these breaks. If your student cannot leave campus during a break, they need to apply through Residence Life. Housing during a scheduled break incurs a separate charge outside of the housing license.
For winter break, we ask that students depart 24 hours after their last final, or by Saturday, December 16, at 10 a.m., whichever comes first.
Please plan students travel based on our pre-determined shuttle schedule. Two weeks before a break, we open the reservations for that shuttle period. All students will also receive a confirmation 48-72 hours prior to their chosen shuttle. Contact Max Koskoff with any questions (koskoff@alfred.edu).

Does this mean that they will have to clear the dorms of all their belongings during these breaks?
No – only at the end of the school year.
