Advising for Spring Semester

With the fall semester closing soon, it is time for students to start thinking about their Spring 2024 class schedules.  The week of October 30th was the start of spring advisement, which is when students meet with their faculty advisor or Academic Success Coach to discuss the progress in their current fall classes, determine the best classes for the spring that will progress them on their degree track, and obtain the alternate pin they will need to register.

For first year students in the School of Art & Design or the School of Engineering, they will meet with their Success Coach for advisement.  First year students in the College of Business or the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences will meet with their faculty advisors.  All students should have received an email from their faculty advisor or their success coach about scheduling an advising meeting.

If your student has not registered for the spring semester yet, please direct them to the Center for Advising for assistance with the advising and registration process.  Students can contact the Center for Advising at advising@alfred.edu or at (607) 871-2949.
