Nestled among the study rooms and various offices stands the home of <a href=\"http:\/\/scholes.alfred.edu\/index.php\/2014-05-07-17-34-16\/archives\">The Archives of the New York State College of Ceramics<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe business of the College Archives is to collect, describe, preserve and provide access to the story of this important college.<br \/>\nFrom its humble beginnings as the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/hdl.handle.net\/10829\/3847\">New York State School of Clay Working<\/a> and Ceramics&#8221; to the college&#8217;s present status as a leader in materials research and fine arts education, a trail of documents and artifacts are collected and made available to researchers throughout the world.<br \/>\n<div id=\"attachment_791\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.alfred.edu\/aulibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2014\/10\/summerschool1901.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-791\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-791\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.alfred.edu\/aulibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2014\/10\/summerschool1901.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Sumer School Class 1901\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-791\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sumer School Class 1901<\/p><\/div><br \/>\nCalls for access to this rich history extend well beyond local service to students, faculty and administrative offices.
