Alfred University Librarians have developed an <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.alfred.edu\/ai\">AI\u00a0Literacy<\/a> Library Guide (LibGuide) as a resource to support instruction at AU as the influence of AI on higher education rapidly evolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.alfred.edu\/ai\">AI\u00a0Literacy<\/a> guide is meant to complement the recently developed Alfred University\u00a0Teaching and Learning Center\u00a0AI\u00a0webpage\u00a0by offering: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a dynamic set of definitions for\u00a0AI\u00a0terminology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guidance on the use of Generative\u00a0AI\u00a0for research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ethical considerations for using\u00a0AI\u00a0in research, including privacy, bias, and environmental impact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>copyright concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guidance for evaluating\u00a0AI-powered research tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an overview of research tools in the libraries that utilize\u00a0AI. \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This\u00a0LibGuide\u00a0also provides an example of how Alfred University Librarians can support faculty, staff, and students in their teaching and learning. Faculty who would like a librarian to come to your class to talk about\u00a0AI, please reach out to your library liaison. Students who would like to schedule a reference consultation can reach out to their Personal Librarian directly or stop by the Herrick Memorial Library or the Samuel R.
