Alfred University Libraries are excited to share our newest\u00a0LibGuide:\u00a0AI\u00a0Literacy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Librarians across the United States are on the front lines of figuring out what\u00a0AI\u00a0means for research, and the Alfred University Libraries are no different. We are excited to share our newest\u00a0LibGuide:\u00a0AI\u00a0Literacy<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide is meant to complement the recently developed Alfred Univesity\u00a0Teaching and Learning Center\u00a0AI\u00a0webpage<\/a>\u00a0by offering a dynamic set of definitions for\u00a0AI\u00a0terminology; guidance on use of Generative\u00a0AI\u00a0for research; ethical considerations for using\u00a0AI\u00a0in research including privacy, bias, environmental impact, and copyright concerns; guidance for evaluating\u00a0AI\u00a0powered research tools; as well as an overview of research tools in the libraries that utilize\u00a0AI. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\u00a0LibGuide\u00a0also provides an example of how Alfred University Librarians can support faculty, staff, and students in their teaching and learning. Faculty who would like a librarian to come to your class to talk about\u00a0AI, please reach out to your library liaison or email us at\u00a0Alfred University Libraries<\/a>.
