She was an intrepid traveler and was part of an excavation team in 1959 that uncovered these relics from the coastal area near Lima, Peru. They are presumed to be from the <a title=\"Chancay culture\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chancay_culture\">Chancay<\/a> culture, dating to 1000 A.D.<br \/>\nThe pots are on permanent display on the main floor of Herrick Memorial Library, in a display case also donated by Edna Jane Wyeth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; These pots were donated to the University by Edna Jane Wyeth, Class of 1946.
